Everyone has an inner guidance system that helps steer them toward big dreams and good decisions in their best interest. This inner GPS has been called several names, from trusting your gut to your higher self to inner wisdom. Join Rim Country Resident Jen Cushman for a fun evening that combines modern neuroscience and ancient wisdom to learn the 101 basics of why humans have intuition and how it works. We will go a step further and learn how to use tools like intuition or wisdom decks to ask better questions and receive clearer answers on all matters relating to your life. Your soul knows the truth and there are lots of tools to help you tap into your inner knowing. She will be using her very own Joy FULL a Deck for Creatives, Healers and Feelers that features her hand-drawn artwork and downloadable digital guidebook that she authored.
BIO: Jen Cushman is a multi-passionate entrepreneur focused on the pursuit of Art + Spirit, which means she spends her days joyfully creating what sets her heart on fire. She juggles her skills as a certified hypnotherapist, energy practitioner, empathic intuitive, mixed-media artist and instructor, creativity coach and a maker on the MadeTV network. She’s also the founder of Soul Stirring Retreats in the South of France. Boredom is the one word that Jen’s deleted from her vocabulary. Her life purpose is to empower others to find peace, clarity, happiness, and healing in their own lives, which she knows is possible because she lives it.
We are packaging the luncheon, all films, and a book signing entry, at $100. Tickets are available on www.eventbrite.com.
For our Film Festival dates of August 9-12, 2024, we have selected Unforgiven, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Two Mules for Sister Sara, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (extended version), A Fistful of Dollars, and Pale Rider. The goal of the Inaugural Rim Country Western Film Festival is to expand Payson’s annual August rodeo attractions to a full week, to allow for more gatherings, connections between people, and all-around fun.
The festival is also a fundraiser for Rim Country Artists, a new non-profit promoting all the arts in our area, as well as for the Rim Country Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber and the rest of our nine-member Festival Committee are working in conjunction with the Payson Pro Rodeo Committee to bring back a full week of events to celebrate Payson’s culture and rodeo tradition.
We have chosen Clint Eastwood movies for the first year of our Film Festival, and we will have excellent speakers talking about his films, the history of the Payson Rodeo, and Charlie Meadows.
We have engaged highly qualified and entertaining speakers to introduce the movies. Bob Boze Bell is the publisher of True West magazine, an author, artist, and engaging story-teller. Our speaker on Sunday is Stuart Rosebrook, the Director of the Phippen Museum and co-author of Junior Bonner: The Making of a Classic with Steve McQueen. He created the book with his father who wrote the film.
A ticketed lunch for approximately seventy guests will be served at the Rim Country BBQ at 11:30am, and the feature movie, open to the public, will start just across the street after that.
The very popular gathering place, called Noley’s – a 6,000 square foot art gallery and book store (that also serves local brews, wine and food) -- will be hosting a book and print signing by our guest speakers.
Rim Country Artists are passionate about providing cultural, educational,
fun opportunities for artists of all mediums throughout the year.
