I was born in Germany and immigrated to Canada at the age of nine. I don’t remember playing with toys but I was always drawing. Although not exposed to the arts, I had an innate need to draw. I poured over pictures of artist’s renderings in magazines. When I immigrated to the U.S. and I studied two-dimensional design in college and my first exhibit followed.
With a full-time career, marriage and children my art ambition was derailed until we were empty nested. We relocated to Texas, I quit my job and made a commitment to art. In February of 1999, I entered my first art competition where I won best of show and numerous awards soon followed. I taught art for two years and when we retired. In 2004 we moved to Payson. I just recently took up my brushes again and intend to pursue my passion as long as I’m able.
