Elizabeth grew up outside Philadelphia, where she drew, fabricated, painted, and acted out stories her whole childhood. Most nights at family dinner time, she’d arrive at the table as a different character.
Elizabeth used a pencil self-portrait as part of her application to Princeton University, where she took so many Art History classes that she could have majored in it. Her path turned when she was awarded a University Scholar standing which allowed her to create her own Independent Concentration in Theatre. She wrote and produced two plays, and graduated with highest honors.
Thoughts of becoming a playwright and director were put to the side in order to focus on raising a family. It is now five children and twelve grandkids later!
She taught History and Art at an AZ Charter School for twenty years, where she produced many original plays with the students. She is now devoted to being a full-time professional artist of murals and commissioned canvases, as well as a leader of painting parties and team-building workshops using art and/or theatre games.
She is a founding Board member of Rim Country Artists, and is their Director of Education and Programming, advocating for all local arts and artists. Elizabeth’s passion is celebrating creativity and connecting people through the arts, which contributes to the health and happiness of individuals and the greater community.
