I grew up outside Philadelphia, and drew and colored my whole childhood. At Princeton University, I took so many Art History classes that I could have majored in it. Instead, I created an Independent Concentration in Theatre as a University Scholar and graduated Summa Cum Laude. I always thought I’d become a playwright and director. Come to find out, it was much more important to raise a family, and Arizona won as the place to do that, thirty-six years ago.
I now have five children and eleven grandkids. For twenty years I taught History and Art at the Shelby School, a now closed AZ Charter School. I loved teaching, but I never stopped making art, and know I never will.
I now work with like-hearted artist/leaders to contribute to the arts and artists of Rim County. I am the President of ArtBeat: Rhythm of the Rim, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. In conjunction with PAL, our purpose is to promote all the arts in Rim Country to so they may be ever more visible and in service to the community.
