David HOPKINs

    About Dave

    Artist Bio

Dave Hopkins has lived in Payson for 5 years. Prior to that he was in Las Vegas, NV for 18 years which is where he began his love of art. He began rock hounding and scouring the beaches at Lake Mead for wood, finding the beauty in how each item, wood and rock, tells a story. He then moved to cutting and polishing the stone, working with tools to create wood pieces that incorporated lapidary yet maintained the beauty of each element. After moving to Payson and joining the Art League he decided to add another medium and began taking ceramic classes. His creations can be seen and purchased at local art shows.
