About Robert Hershberger, Ph.D., FAIA

Artist Bio

Hershberger studied fine arts and architecture at Stanford University (AB), the University of Utah (B. Arch.) and the University of Pennsylvania (M. Arch., Ph.D.). He received over a dozen design awards practicing architecture in Arizona from 1970 to 2012. He served as professor of architecture at Arizona State University from 1969 to 1988 and as professor and dean in the College of Architecture at the University of Arizona from 1988 to 2002 when he retired and moved to Payson, Arizona to continue architectural practice and pursue his love of watercolor painting. He also enjoys painting with oils and acrylics. He is currently represented at the House of Joy Art Gallery in Jerome, AZ.
